A collection of poems written by Carl Sandburg, a poet born in Galesburg, Illinois in 1878. Sandburg was famous for his biography of Abraham Lincoln, but also wrote free verse poetry. The collection of poems chosen all relate to emptiness and loneliness which is expressed with the unfinished quality of the cover and back cover. The inside design highlights the expressive nature of the language and is more colorful and "full" to express the "answers" or content of the poetry.
